What we collect

What you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, your organization if you choose to give one, the reason you selected, and your message.

If you sign up for the newsletter: the email address you give us, your first name if you add it, the answer to “what brings you here” if you choose one, which page or printed code you signed up from, and when.

If you give online: the amount, whether it is one-time or monthly, the name and email address you give at checkout, which page or printed code you came from, and Stripe’s reference numbers for the payment. Your card details go to Stripe, our payment processor, and never touch our servers.

What we do with it

A contact-form message is emailed to [email protected], where one of us reads it and replies. We do not sell it, share it, or add you to a mailing list. We keep it as long as the conversation needs it, and delete it when it is done.

A newsletter signup is stored in a database we run on Cloudflare, and we use it for one thing: sending you occasional email about the Foundation. We do not sell it or share it with anyone. We keep it until you ask to be removed.

A gift is recorded in the same database so we can send you a receipt, answer a question about it, and keep the records a charity has to keep, including year-end statements. Stripe processes the payment under its own privacy policy. If you leave the “keep me posted” box ticked when you give, we add your email address to the newsletter list; untick it and we do not.

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

Leaving the list, questions, or deletion

To stop the newsletter, reply to any email we send or write to [email protected], and we will take you off within a few days. The same address handles any question, or a request to delete what we hold about you. To change or stop a monthly gift, use the link in your receipt or write to the same address.
